"And in 1948, I came to Canada": The Holocaust in 6 Dates.
From April 20 to November 17, 2019
In partnership with the Musée québécois de l'Holocauste de Montréal
Over nine million Jews lived in Europe before the Second World War. From 1933 to 1945, they were persecuted, and six million were murdered during the Holocaust. This exhibition aims to educate the public about the Jewish genocide, examples of resistance, the steps from antisemitism to mass murder, and the impact on worldwide communities, notably in Canada. Audiences will be able to reflect on the perils of racism and discrimination that prevailed during the Holocaust, and that unfortunately continue today.
